ExecuFinity’s CFSP™ program is now certified by The CPD Certification Service (UK) for 60 CPD hours. What it means for finance professionals and employers.

ExecuFinity is proud to announce that the Certified Finance and Strategy Professional (CFSP™) program has been certified by The CPD Certification Service in the United Kingdom for 60 CPD hours, under certificate number 900351. Alongside the program certification, ExecuFinity Advisory W.L.L. has joined The CPD Certification Service as a member organisation, under membership number 50337.

This is an important milestone for CFSP™ and for everyone who has followed the program since it was first announced. It confirms, through an independent external review, that the program meets recognised standards for structured professional learning, and it gives every participant a verifiable record of the development they invest in. It also places CFSP™ within the same certification framework used by some of the most established names in finance education worldwide.

What CPD Certification Means

Continuing Professional Development, or CPD, is the ongoing learning that professionals undertake to keep their knowledge current and their skills relevant throughout their careers. Most professional bodies in accounting and finance require their members to complete a minimum amount of CPD every year, and they expect that learning to be structured, relevant, and properly documented.

The CPD Certification Service is an independent UK organisation that reviews training programs and learning activities against established CPD standards. When a program is submitted for certification, the review looks at how the learning is structured, whether the objectives are clear, how the content supports those objectives, how learners are assessed, and whether the stated learning hours reflect the real time commitment required. A program receives certification only once it meets those standards, and each certified program carries its own certificate number so that learners, employers, and professional bodies can verify it.

For CFSP™, the review covered the full program: eight executive modules, the applied case studies and quizzes that follow each module, and the final assessment. The result is certification for 60 CPD hours of structured learning.

Why 60 Hours Matters

Sixty certified hours reflects the depth of the program. Short courses and single-topic workshops serve a real purpose, and they typically carry a handful of CPD hours each. CFSP™ was designed as a complete development journey for finance professionals moving into strategic leadership, and the certified hours reflect that scope.

The program moves from financial analysis and storytelling through budgeting and forecasting, corporate finance, valuation, mergers and acquisitions, the IPO journey, and strategic planning, and it closes with a dedicated module on the path to the CFO chair. Each module builds on the one before it, and each ends with applied work that asks participants to use what they have learned in a realistic business situation. Sixty hours is the time it takes to cover that ground properly and to practise it.

For many professionals, this also means a single program can make a meaningful contribution to their annual CPD requirement. ACCA members, for example, typically need 40 units of CPD each year, with at least 21 of those units verifiable. CMA holders under the Institute of Management Accountants generally need 30 hours of CPE annually, including two hours of ethics. CPA requirements vary by jurisdiction, and many require around 120 hours over a three-year period. Each professional body sets its own rules on which activities qualify and how they should be recorded, so we always recommend that participants confirm the specific requirements with their own institute. The CPD certificate gives them clear, verifiable evidence to support that record.

What It Means for Participants

For the individual finance professional, CPD certification adds three practical benefits.

The first is verification. Every participant can point to an independently certified program with a published certificate number, which makes their learning easy to document for a professional body, an employer, or a future hiring panel.

The second is confidence in the quality of the learning. Choosing a development program is an investment of time and money, and an external review offers assurance that the program has been assessed against recognised standards before a participant commits to it.

The third is recognition that travels. Finance careers today often cross borders, especially across the GCC, Egypt, the UK, and beyond. A certification issued by an established UK body is widely understood by professionals and employers across these markets, which adds weight to the learning wherever a participant’s career takes them.

It is worth being precise about one point. The CPD Certification Service certifies the learning program and its hours. The CFSP™ designation itself is awarded by ExecuFinity to participants who complete the program and pass the final assessment. Participants therefore leave with two things that work together: a professional designation that signals strategic finance capability, and certified CPD hours that document the structured learning behind it.

What It Means for Organisations

For CFOs, HR leaders, and learning and development teams, CPD certification makes CFSP™ easier to evaluate and easier to approve.

Organisations across the region are investing heavily in developing their finance talent. In Saudi Arabia, human capability development sits at the centre of the national transformation agenda, and companies throughout the GCC are building finance teams that can contribute to strategy, capital allocation, and investor conversations alongside their reporting responsibilities. When a learning budget is under review, independent certification answers one of the first questions a decision-maker asks: has this program been assessed by someone outside the provider?

CPD certification also supports internal governance. Many organisations track the professional development of their finance staff, particularly those holding professional qualifications with mandatory CPD requirements. A certified program with a published certificate number fits cleanly into those records.

In Established Company

The CPD Certification Service works with a wide range of training providers, and its directory includes some of the most respected names in finance education. Euromoney Learning, one of the longest-standing providers of finance training worldwide, has its CFO Programme certified through the service, including a version delivered in Bahrain. Fitch Learning, part of the Fitch Group, holds certification for courses spanning financial modelling, credit, and valuation. The British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association certifies its professional courses through the same service, including a program designed for finance directors and CFOs of private equity-backed businesses. The London School of Business and Finance and the financial modelling specialist F1F9 are also among its certified providers.

CFSP™ now holds its place within that same independent standard. We see this as a benchmark for the quality we expect of ourselves, and as an assurance to every participant that the program they choose sits alongside the programs that global finance professionals already trust. What makes CFSP™ distinctive within that group is its focus: it was built specifically for finance professionals making the transition from technical excellence to strategic leadership, and every module is designed around the decisions a modern CFO owns.

Inside the CFSP™ Program

The program is structured across eight executive modules.

Module 1, Mastering Financial Analysis, builds the foundation of financial storytelling, integrating the three financial statements, ratio analysis, and the cash conversion cycle into insights that support better decisions.

Module 2, Strategic Budgeting and Forecasting, covers zero-based budgeting, driver-based rolling forecasts, and scenario planning, and shows how to redesign the planning process around strategy.

Module 3, Corporate Finance Essentials, addresses capital allocation, capital structure, the cost of capital, and risk, with case studies from real businesses.

Module 4, Business Valuation and CFO Role-Play, develops discounted cash flow valuation, market multiples, and synergy analysis, and puts them to work in live transaction simulations.

Module 5, Mergers and Acquisitions, takes participants through strategic rationale, target screening, LBO, IRR and MOIC concepts, bid pricing, and integration planning.

Module 6, The IPO Journey, covers IPO readiness, the Tadawul and Nomu context, disclosure controls, the equity story, and the listing roadmap.

Module 7, Strategic Planning Tools for CFOs, applies SWOT, PESTLE, Porter’s Five Forces, the Balanced Scorecard, and KPI dashboards to real strategic questions.

Module 8, Your Path to the CFO Chair, focuses on executive presence, Board communication, leadership development, a personal readiness assessment, and a 30 to 90 day action plan.

The program is fully online and self-paced, with recorded video lessons, downloadable resources, quizzes, and applied case studies after each module. Most participants complete it within three to six months alongside a full professional workload.

Entry begins with a free assessment of 45 questions over 60 minutes, with a pass mark of 60 percent, which ensures that every participant starts with the foundation the program assumes. The program concludes with a final assessment of 100 questions over 90 minutes, with a pass mark of 75 percent, together with a case study. Successful participants receive the verifiable CFSP™ digital certificate and a shareable badge.

A Word from Dr. Tamer Alsayed

“When I designed CFSP, I built it around the decisions a CFO truly owns: where capital goes, how a business is valued, how a deal is priced, and how the numbers are presented to a Board. I spent more than twenty years in those conversations, and I saw how many talented finance professionals were ready for them technically and still needed the strategic perspective and the confidence to lead them.

“CPD certification gives that work an independent seal. It tells every participant that the sixty hours they invest have been reviewed against a recognised standard, and it gives them a verifiable record they can carry into every stage of their career. For me, it is also a commitment. Being certified alongside the institutions that have shaped finance education for decades sets the bar we intend to meet with every module, every case study, and every cohort.”

What Comes Next

CPD certification is one step in the continuing development of CFSP™. We will keep refining the program based on participant feedback, updating the content as markets and regulations evolve, and expanding the applied case work that makes the learning practical.

Enrolment is open now. Candidates begin with the free entry assessment at execufinity.com, and once they pass, they can enrol and start Module 1 immediately. Organisations interested in enrolling their finance teams, or in discussing a tailored arrangement, can contact us at [email protected].

To every participant, colleague, and partner who contributed feedback and support along the way, thank you. This milestone belongs to you as much as to us.
